SAR-Camp – Solidarity and Resistance in Biesenthal near Berlin

„For 10 years, we’ve been fighting Fortress Europe with civil sea rescue. Now, we’re organizing a camp – a space for everyone involved in SAR, migration, No Borders activism, anti-racism and decolonial struggles. A place to exchange, learn from each other, build new strategies for the coming years, fight together – and celebrate. Resistance needs not only action, but also collective rest and solidarity.“

Organized by Sea Watch, Sea Eye, Seebrücke and friends

Mid-September 2025 near Lampedusa

F.lotta is organizing a massive run towards and across the external border of fortress Europe, an occupation of the central Mediterranean sea. We want to repoliticize the space, where the state has successfully managed to discipline rescue associations into a tight operational framework and to normalize the presence of preventable deaths. We are a colorful multitude of independent boats, coming from different backgrounds: independent sailors, associations, sea workers and more, united into a spontaneous network.

We will sail from Lampedusa heading South, crossing that sea that has become a highway for weapons and goods and a graveyard for many people, as a consequence of the racist, capitalist and neo-colonial project of fortress Europe. We will stage the protest during 3 days at sea in September, to mark the 10th anniversary when people on the move started to march from Hungary towards Germany and forced open the internal borders of the fortress.

We are independent, grassroot, self-organized. If you have a boat, or could mobilize your network, or want to know more about F.lotta: please reach out on Signal at: @hedgehog.25

03.10. until 05.10.2025 in Rabat
2025 marks two important anniversaries: the tenth anniversary of the ‘March of Hope’ – the historic moment when the European border regime temporarily collapsed and freedom of movement became a reality for ‘People on the Move’ – and the 20th anniversary of ARCOM, an organisation founded by migrants to defend their fundamental rights in Morocco. In addition, the BAOBAB women’s shelter founded by ARCOM is celebrating its tenth anniversary – a shelter for migrant women and their children on their often life-threatening journey.
To commemorate these milestones, ARCOM and Afrique-Europe-Interact are organising a transnational commemorative event in Rabat, Morocco. This conference is part of a series of decentralised transnational actions with which we are sending a clear signal:
Against the deadly and unjust border regime!
For solidarity with migrants and against their increasing criminalisation!
For a space of exchange and networking, especially for migrants in the Maghreb countries!“
