Today, as we face dark times, at Europe\u2019s borders, but also of course with the ongoing genocide in Gaza, these memories may appear to us as something from another time and world. It is our imagination itself that seems bordered by the violence of our dystopian present. In this context, it seems all the more important to recall the events of 2015 so as to reopen our imaginations and political horizons.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-right has-small-font-size\"><br>From the introduction of Charles Heller, a researcher based at the University of Bern and of border forensics. For several months, corridors from Greece to Sweden were opened, allowing for free movement and even a choice of where to settle. At that time, the Dublin system collapsed, and with it, the need for smuggling. It was a period of time, where the lowest death rate at EU borders was recorded, while welcome-initiatives spread along all routes.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We want to remember 2015\u2019s summer of migration and solidarity with a transnational chain of actions. We want to connect this anniversary not only with our fundamental critique of the brutalization of the border regime in the last years, but also with the continuity of struggles for freedom of movement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In the kick-off event on 4th of September we will recall the 2015 summer of migration and explore the way it continues to resonate in the present. We will further introduce the chain of actions with brief inputs and voices from Ljubljana and Berlin, from Zagreb and Geneva, from Lampedusa and Madrid, from Rabat and Rome, from Vienna, Ragusa and Tirana.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We start with these questions: How do you recall the summer of migration, and what does this moment represent for you? How can the memory of this breakthrough continue to inspire us and be reactivated in our everyday struggles ? Pendant plusieurs mois, des corridors ont \u00e9t\u00e9 ouverts entre la Gr\u00e8ce et la Su\u00e8de, faisant de la libre circulation une r\u00e9alit\u00e9, et m\u00eame le choix du lieu d&#8217;installation. Lors de cette p\u00e9riode, le syst\u00e8me de Dublin s&#8217;est effondr\u00e9, et avec lui, la n\u00e9cessit\u00e9 de recourir \u00e0 l\u2019\u00e9conomie du passage. Le taux de mortalit\u00e9 aux fronti\u00e8res de l&#8217;UE a atteint son niveau le plus bas et des initiatives d&#8217;accueil se sont multipli\u00e9es le long des diff\u00e9rentes routes migratoires.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Nous voulons nous souvenir de l&#8217;\u00e9t\u00e9 2015, marqu\u00e9 par la migration et la solidarit\u00e9, \u00e0 travers une cha\u00eene d&#8217;actions transnationales. Nous voulons associer cet anniversaire \u00e0 notre critique radicale de la brutalisation du r\u00e9gime frontalier ces derni\u00e8res ann\u00e9es, mais aussi c\u00e9l\u00e9brer la continuit\u00e9 des luttes pour la libert\u00e9 de circulation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Lors de l&#8217;\u00e9v\u00e9nement de lancement, le 4 septembre, nous nous souviendrons de l\u2019\u00e9t\u00e9 de la migration et explorerons la fa\u00e7on dont cette p\u00e9riode continue de r\u00e9sonner dans le pr\u00e9sent. Nous pr\u00e9senterons \u00e9galement la cha\u00eene d&#8217;actions avec de br\u00e8ves contributions et des t\u00e9moignages de Ljubljana et Berlin, de Zagreb et Gen\u00e8ve, de Lampedusa et Madrid, de Rabat et Rome, de Vienne, Raguse et Tirana. Durante semanas, se abrieron corredores desde Grecia hasta Suecia, el sistema de Dubl\u00edn colaps\u00f3 y las muertes en las fronteras bajaron a m\u00ednimos hist\u00f3ricos.<br>Queremos recordar ese verano de solidaridad con una cadena d acciones transnacional, denunciando la actual violencia fronteriza y reivindicando el derecho a la libertad de movimiento.
